Sally McCune has been name Composer-in-Residence for the “Banding Together” initiative at Eastman School of Music, Syracuse University and Cornell University. She will work with the wind ensembles at each of the schools. Featured works include two new pieces – TAKEN and SPIRAL in addition to HIGH WATER RISING and CAVEAT.

Sinta Quartet presents Homegrown The world renowned Sinta Quartet presents a highly-anticipated eclectic mix of American works, ranging from the tunes of Appalachia to the world premiere of composer-in-residence Sally Lamb McCune’s Caveat for saxophone quartet and drumset. Additional highlights include a performance of Antonín Dvořák’s String Quartet no. 12, “American,” and Marc Mellits highly virtuosic Ex Machina. Concertgoers are invited to stay after the concert and meet the performers at a post-concert reception.
